Thanks to our conference partners:
This one day professional development opportunity is designed for teams of Pre-K to 12th grade classroom teachers, arts specialists, teaching artists, principals and superintendents who will experience, observe and create arts integrated lessons using Common Core State Standards and principles of Universal Design for Learning. Attendees will experience a model lesson created for inclusion classrooms and piloted by a team of teachers that can be adapted to fit any grade level.
Through group work, reflection and open discussions, attendees will leave with a list of creative strategies that will provide all their students with an opportunity to deepen learning and nurture 21st Century Skills. At the conclusion of the workshop, teams will discuss “best practices” of quality professional development in preparation for future in-service trainings with faculty at their school to cultivate professional learning communities.

Universal Design for Learning

2. Go to the WSI UDL module.
Retreats Overview
Continuing professional development for teachers and administrators follows the summer institute. In the fall and again in the spring, retreats provide instructional processes for integrating arts experiences into the curriculum. Continuing education unit credit is available for teachers(CEU) and administrators(SEMI) as well as opportunities for networking with fellow professionals in a professional, state of the art conference environment.
