Cornett is Professor Emeritus in Education at Wittenberg University and a highly respected researcher on the effective use of arts-based instruction as a way to motivate and engage all learners. She authored Creating Meaning Through Literature and the Arts: An Integrated Resource for Classroom Teachers as well as several other books on the subject of arts integration.
