Information: Participating artists
The Whole Schools Initiative partners with artists who provide experiences for students and professional development for teachers in schools. Participating artists have made application for inclusion in the MAC roster by showing their qualifications and artistic merit according to stated guidelines.
A special designation, “arts ed demo”, means that the artist has provided the panel with lesson plans and actual video of a school presentation/training session.
Artists are listed by discipline in the Mississippi Arts Commission artist roster. It is available as a PDF download or you may call 601-359-6030, to have a printed version mailed to you.
WSI does not place artists in schools. Each site is responsible for contracting with an artist individually.
